Ahmad Motamed

M. Arch., OAA, MRAIC - principal

Ahmad is the founding principal of etude and a member of the OAA and the RAIC. Having received his Masters degree in Architecture in 1979, Ahmad brings to bear a wealth of architectural knowledge and experience garnered since his initiation into the practice in 1980. Ahmad has been involved in countless projects throughout his career; he continues his pursuit of architectural refinement in every new project undertaken by his firm.

Ahmad’s many years of experience, ranging from urban planning to mixed-use condominium design, as well as many schools and residential projects, results in designs founded on a well-honed sense of purpose. His approach to each project is to maintain a sense of style and form while respecting the end user’s program and vision, presenting them with every available option while maintaining their aspirations.

He has engaged in numerous community projects, lending his time and talent to endeavors that would not have materialized without professional leadership. Ahmad also provides mentorship to young architects pursuing their professional careers.
