Located on a sloped, irregular land in one of the most naturally attractive North Toronto neighbourhoods, this two storey house combines the elements of luxury, comfort and practicality in a contemporary design core influenced by elements of a traditional fa├žade. The unevenness of the land and its steep slope presented some design challenges that were ultimately used to positively enhance the design. The final desigm was influenced by many design motifs combined with the goal of creating an interconnected living space staring on the slopes of the backyard, and flowing to the sleeping suites on the top floor. The open design concept allows a free travel of natural light between different spaces in all three levels of the builiding through the day. the final edifice is an emblem of modern living within the realm of a classic shell. Thus it embraces both modernity and conventionality simultaneously.
